Wilton Windmill is in the Pewsey Vale in Wiltshire, about 8 miles south east of Marlborough.  Built in 1821, it is the only working windmill in the south west of England, still producing flour just as it was designed to do all those years ago.  It is run by the Wilton Windmill Society, a voluntary group which operates the mill and opens it to visitors for guided tours on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 2pm to 5pm from Easter to the end of September.

Charles Baxter who is a committee member of the Society is over the moon with the new guide books that we produced - here is his story:

I was introduced to Ridgeway Press after a very unsatisfactory experience with another designer.  The differences could not have been more profound.  Using an in-house designer who works very closely with the printer, as they do at Ridgeway, works superbly.

The project was to design and print a family friendly guidebook for Wilton Windmill.  The designer - Sarah - took the trouble to understand how the Windmill worked and visited other Windmills during the course of the project.  At every stage, discussions went on and improvements were made.  The developments were really exciting.  The end result is a guidebook that clearly explains the machine and processes but is also visually delightful.  Pictures and diagrams fill the pages.  Its appeal is perfectly matched to the visitors whom we are targeting.

The end product has been superbly printed on quality paper and has the look and feel of a very high class and expensive brochure.  It has also come in at an extremely reasonable price.
